Looking to spice up your drinking games? Kiss your Beer Pong, Never Have I Ever, and Drunk Jenga plans goodbye and say hello to these new and exciting alternatives. Here are some fun adult games you can play while drinking at home or any bar.
1. Tipsy Bertie Bott
Live your Harry Potter fantasies by creating your own version of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. Let’s reimagine the story by thinking of Bertie Bott as a drunken wizarding confectioner and replacing the beans with custom challenge coins.
What You’ll Need:
- At Least Four Persons (the More, the Merrier)
- Custom Challenge Coins
- At Least Five Types of Beverages
How It Works:
- For every coin, assign a drink.
- Draw the dice. If a player draws two, two types of drinks must be mixed.
- Have every member draw coins from a jar.
- The player must drink the mix.
Ever heard of the myth that “beer before wine makes you feel fine”? If you mix those two beverages, one of your friends will find out if it’s a fact or just another drinking lore.
2. The Unlucky Soldier
After World War II, it was said that American soldiers used to conduct “pfennig checks” in Germany. If a soldier didn’t have a pfennig with him, he was stuck buying the beers. But you and the rest of the gang don’t have to go to war to build camaraderie. Pretend you are soldiers and let the coins decide who’s in charge of the tab.
What You’ll Need:
- At Least Three Persons (the More, the Merrier)
- Personalized Challenge Coins
- Alcoholic Drink
How It Works:
- For this game, everyone must have his or her personalized challenge coin.
- Do a random pfennig check. Ask the participants to present their personalized challenge coin at random moments (e.g., during a lunch out at work), and whoever fails to show theirs buys one round of drinks for the gang.
- Spice it up by adding more consequences.
Splitting the bill with each member of the group can be a bit inconvenient, especially when everyone’s had a lot to drink already. By choosing one Unlucky Soldier, you can skip the split-the-bill part and enjoy the rest of the night without worrying about the charges. That is if you’re among the lucky ones. *wink*
3. Who’s the Coin Bearer?
Take your classic Wink Murder game to the next level. Follow the same gameplay, but add coins as a reward to make it more exciting.
What You’ll Need:
- At Least 10 Persons (the More, the Merrier)
- Personalized Challenge Coins for Each Player
- Alcoholic Drinks
How It Works:
- First, make sure that everyone has a personalized challenge coin.
- When a person has been winked at and “killed” by the Coin Bearer, he or she must drink.
- When someone accuses the wrong person, he or she must give up his or her coin to the Game Master.
- Once the Coin Bearer’s identity is revealed, the Game Master must give all the collected coins to the player.
- The Coin Bearer is owed one favor by the owner of his or her collected coins.
